Chet Rice- loving husband, father of 9, grandfather of 19, great grandfather of 3- incredible provider, generous to family, friends and strangers. We thought we knew the stories, but were overwhelmed by accounts on anonymous kindness that were shared after his passing. Chet was an amazing athlete and used that drive to excel in all he did. He not only competed well, but coached, refereed, umpired and cheered for his own childrens’ teams and his Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, and Sixers. Often disappointed by Philadelphia teams, he found his real joy in cheering on his precious “grands”.
The Gift of Life was a natural response for a person who always cared for others. Gone from our lives here- but never forgotten.
