Mom led a simple life. That simple life was focused on what she held dear and close to her heart. The tremendous life joy she experienced was with her girls and grandsons, the entire Christmas season, her garden, her beloved dog Misty, and baking/cooking. She was proud and strong, remembering the past, always enjoying the present, while instilling in us… hope for the future. Authentic and selfless, she gave of her herself, so that we could grow and prosper. For all that we are, or could ever hope to be, we owe to our Mom. Unfortunately, we never fully understood the impact of her selflessness until she was gone. However, despite the passage of time, her memory keeps her close to our hearts. This new relationship helps us tell our beautiful “Mom” stories. Stories that are full of love, laughter, and heartfelt memories. The best one is that her passing on gave hope and future to others to move on. We are so proud of her and her continued legacy of life. May this quilt square serve as a reminder of how beautiful Mom’s life was and continues to be!
