William Herbert Johnson
In loving memory of my brother, William Herbert Johnson, 8/29/1952 – 6/25/2012. I decided to make the quilt square simple to reflect my ‘special needs’ brother’s life. I chose blue for ‘Billy’s’ donated corneas from his blue eyes. There are 2 sets of eyes on the quilt square along with his initials. The other set of eyes is in memory of our father, Herbert Johnson, who passed a month before William, at age 96. Our eyes are our windows to the world. I wanted someone else to receive the gift of sight.
I used washable heat n’ bond’ fabric adhesive for the monogram and eyes.
