Maureen was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born March 3, 1939, she left the world on December 8, 2013.
Next to family, Maureen’s number one love was art! She always searched for ways to display her creativity. Many years of artwork adorned her home and her four children grew up learning to appreciate all forms of art.
This patch was made with Maureen’s love of family and art in mind. The four crocheted corners are a part of her mother’s and grandmother’s handwork. Each corner represents her four children with a sequin in each symbolizing their birth months. The artist’s palette, with needlework done by her youngest daughter, displays seven larger paint colors representing her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. The two smaller “drops” from the paint brush are depicting her adorable, young great-grandsons. Finally, initials on the artist’s brush represent her husband and partner of 58 years, Kenneth E. Danner.

With the donation of Maureen’s corneas and skin tissue, we know her creative mind and heart will live on.
