Steven Glenn Johnson
This block was made from the last pair of pants Steven wore. The grey ribbon is for the Giloblastoma Multiforme (stage 4 brain cancer) which took Steven from us at the tender age of 22 years old. From a young age Steven wanted to be an organ donor and in the end he was only able to donate his eyes for research due to the type of cancer he had. He even wanted to donate his brain with the tumor for research. Steven was a person to lend a hand to anyone in need. He always spoke up for the rights of others. He would help the elderly to homeless street children.
Steven was self-taught in multi- languages from sign language to Russian. He was gonna grow up to be a teacher for hearing impaired. Steven loved music, from Opera to Hip-Hop, but always said “no country music,” but he knew all the words to every song. It was so funny. Steven always had a smile to give. He never let anything get him down. When he was told he had brain cancer and he was going to die, he just turned to me, winked and smiled and said “Its ok Mom, I can beat this, no problem.” He smiled til the end. Stevens last words were “You know where to find me Mom. Go past yesterday, wait for tomorrow, look for the stardust and rainbows. I will be there waiting for you…I Love You.” Steven was the youngest of 3 sons and greatly missed by all.
