Joseph F. Lentini

We are very grateful to be able to participate in a tribute in a memory of our loved one, Joseph Lentini. The significance of our selection of the quilt panel was to represent a part of Joseph's life. We chose a culinary theme.

Joseph made a decision to change his career at the age of forty. It was quite a challenge for him to enter college at this age. He did remarkably well. One of his happiest accomplishments was being part of the culinary food team and winning a silver medal for the college at the New York Culinary Food Show. This med was the first award that the College had won in several years.

Joseph found his time in the kitchen very therapeutic and rewarding. Whether in a professional capacity or home in his own kitchen, his creativity was endless. Joseph appreciated and savored good food and relished entertaining friends and family with his wonderful creations. Most of all, he looked forward to entertaining us and family members. Our traditional holiday celebrations were very important to Joseph and also to us. We will always treasure these memories and hope to continue these times in Joseph's memory in the small capacity which we are able to do.

May we take this time to thank the Gift of Life Donor Program and Cheryl Pruskowski, senior transplant coordinator, for the many hours spent to find a recipient for Joseph's organs.

Our decision has been (and will always be), a comfort to us.

Sincerely,

Diane C. Ingenito
