Kellie Margaret Jones

The square appears simple but it is really very comlex. The four words surrounding Kellie’s picture; daughter, sister, aunt and friend, say a great deal about her. There is, however more to her life than just those four definitions. She was also a wife who tragically lost her hisband at a very young age. Davis was only in his forties when he passed away.

Kellie possessed a great deal of inner strength as a child and young adult. I hope she forgives me for these next few sentences. Kellie was left back twice in her school career. A lesser person might have thrown in the towel but she did not. Her perseverance impresses me to this day. She graduated high school and we were so proud of her determination that as parents we were beaming with happiness for her and for us.

The fact that Kellie was an organ donor was unbeknownst to me, her dad. In a way, a very strange way, that fact made her passing a little less tragic to us. Very little, her loss will live with us forever.

It amazes me to this day that her untimely death has possibly allowed three other lives to continue on. Kellie by being an organ donor, saved the lives of three people, three people whom I would like to meet one day. Kellie was always a special person in life and in the end she took that to a whole new level.
