Alberta Rogers

11-14-1939 to 3-2-2014

Alberta was married to her loving husband, Charles for 53 years. She was the daughter of the late Adam and Leonora Grudis. She was a member of St. Eulalia’s Church, where she volunteered her time and talents. She also volunteered for about 40 years, helping the residents at St. Mary’s Villa. She also sang with the Wally Gordon Singers with her siblings for many years. Her greatest pride was her children and grandchildren.

I once asked my mother what her dream was and she told me all she ever wanted was to be a mother. Alberta was one of 9, having 7 sisters and 1 brother and she herself was a mother to 9 children. Colleen, Eileen, Charlie, Kathleen, Mary Elizabeth, Mary Frances, Patrick, Timothy and Christopher. She was also a proud grandmother to Aileen, Kara, Nora, Brennan, Kerry, Charlie, Michael, Katie, Mitchell, Claire, Quinn, Claudia, Sean, Dylan, Patrick, Alyson, Liam and Grace.

Our mother was very religious and whenever my brother Christopher would travel, he would always bring a rosary home for her. So this quilt represent her love of God, and The angel represents her watching and guiding over all of us. Mom is sadly missed but will be forever in our hearts. We love you Mom.
