Bruce R. Anthony

Bruce Anthony was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. As a respiratory therapist, he demonstrated genuine concern to the patients he treated. Our quilt square represents Bruce surrounded by all the things he loved. The four large hearts are appliqued on a tie he wore to work, the hearts represent his wife and three children, the smaller hearts, the seven grandchildren and soon to be one great-grandson. The center picture was taken in California where he loved being an adopted family member of the Barragan clan. Bruce was an avid fisherman and actively participated in sports as a young man. He served as a trophy-winning coach for teener league baseball. Win or lose, he cheered enthusiastically for his favorite teams: Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, Flyers and local high school, Berwick Bulldogs. Not represented on the quilt but forever in his heart are the incarcerated men that he mentored for more than 25 years as a volunteer. He was greatly loved and missed by all.
