Carl M. Carter Jr.

1948-2005

Carl was a very loving father/pap. He has 3 daughters (Michelle, Lori & Kristi) and 3 grandsons (Dylan, Dustin & Cody). He died unexpectedly at the age of 57. He was also preceded in death by his wife, whom he was married to for 37 years.

He loved hunting and going to camp, although I would say he liked the Pittsburgh Steelers more. Even when buck season came around, camp had to wait till the Steelers were done playing. When the Steelers weren't playing well we knew not to talk to him. Unfortunately, he missed the big Super Bowl win in 2005.

He loved his kids, although his 3 grandsons came first. He loved taking them to camp and fishing. Every weekend the grandkids knew they were going to pappy's. I remember one time the Steelers were playing Detroit and Dylan kept making fun of the Steelers so dad took the game that Cody was playing and threw it out back. You never made fun of the Steelers around Dad.

We would always go to Dad's house to watch the fireworks in his yard and one year Dustin was so afraid of the noise that he locked dad out the house.

Dad worked at Case New Holland for 18 years as a welder. He was a life member of the NRA and a member of the North American Hunting Club. He liked Nascar with his favorite driver being Dale Jarrett. He was also a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He was also an organ donor for as long as we can remember. He was able to donate his heart, liver and kidneys.

"Time has passed and yet we still sit and wonder what went wrong. Why didn't we see the signs? If only we had, you would still be here today. They say everything happens for a reason and yet we wonder what that reason is and then we realize you were meant to be with mom in life and in death. So till we see you again you will always be right here in our hearts. We miss you everyday."

Love and missed by daughters, grandsons and son-in-laws.
