Judith L. Shelley

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family; she is pictured with her family, especially her grandsons, to whom she was the primary caregiver while her daughter and son-in-law worked. The scenic picture is of Hyner View in Pennsylvania, where she and her husband enjoyed visiting to look at the beautiful view. Judy was a daughter, wife, mom, mom-mom, friend and Christian. She loved helping people, which is one of the reasons she had recently become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She was a member of the South Eastern School Board from 2004 until her passing in 2005 and had graduated from Kennard-Dale High School, which is part of the South Eastern School District, in 1966. While in school, she played volleyball and sandlot baseball. When she became a mom, she coached her daughter’s soccer and softball teams. She and her husband continued to support their daughter by rarely ever missing a single sporting event during all three sport seasons. She retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground as a director of services in 2003. She was a lifetime resident of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania and an active member of the Fawn United Methodist Church long with the Citizens Volunteer Fired Company in Fawn Grove.
