Bill became an EMT late in life. It was not his primary career but he enjoyed this work and was devoted to it. He often said he wished he had discovered his love for the work earlier. His intense interest in the subject and dedication to learning led to him graduating as Valedictorian of his LCCC EMT class. Throughout the years he did work for three different community ambulance companies and was always willing to fill in for others in addition to working his regular shifts. Bill was very proud of the work he did as an EMT. We did not know Bill had arranged to be a Gift of Life donor but, it came as no surprise that he had chosen to help others with this final act of kindness.
