Emily Claire Fredricks was born on July 7, 1993, and was originally from East Brunswick, NJ. Emily was sweet, creative, loving, and had an amazing laugh. She was not afraid to laugh at herself, and she was so kind and inclusive of everyone. She was a volleyball player in high school, with all honors and AP courses. She was a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island, summa cum laude. She took pride in everything she did.
After residing in Naples, Florida, for 2 ½ years for her job as a pastry chef at the Ritz Carlton, she was homesick and wanted to move closer to home, and she moved to Philadelphia in May of 2017. Emily was 24 years old when she was killed by a sanitation truck in Philadelphia, on November 28, 2017, while she was riding her bicycle to work as the pastry chef at a French restaurant.
This beautiful picture was taken of Emily during a visit to Miami, Florida. She loved flowers and this picture shows her love of life.
Words cannot express how much Emily is missed every second of every day by parents, Laura and Richard, and brothers, Michael and Jack, all of her extended family and many friends.
