Our mother, Tracy Wentzel, donated her organs hoping they would impact someone’s life. The Gift of Life informed us Tracy’s cornea was successfully transplanted into a 65 year old male which gave him his gift of sight. Tracy’s bone and skin grafts were used in life changing surgeries. Tracy’s gifts will impact the lives of all the recipients.
The Gift of Life has given us the wonderful opportunity to honor our mother by making a patch that will be sewn onto a quilt. This patch has items that best describe our mother. She had the best green thumb that could turn a little seed into a beautiful plant. The plants are still sitting on the table where she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She would have cards in one hand and a Pepsi in the other hand. Oh, how she loved her Pepsi. She also loved her Washington Redskins. She would go crazy when they finally made a touchdown!
She was our butterfly who we love and miss very much. We miss her every day, especially her laughter. We will cherish her life, love and her gifts to others.
