Julius, AKA Jay, was a very intelligent young man with many talents. He was a kind and loving person. He was respectful to all he knew and respected by them as well.

Julius was a lover of sports, although he excelled in both basketball and football, basketball was his favorite. He attended Fitzsimon Middle School where he played for the Rams and later played for other leagues.

He was a proud member of the Boy Scouts and a coach to the young in various youth leagues. He enjoyed doing what he did. He was good at it and didn’t mind sharing his talents.

He attended high school at Simon Gratz. There he played varsity ball. His dedication to basketball was proved with his accomplishments. That, along with is ability to play football was enough to draw media attention nationwide.

Julius moved on to Glenn Mills Training Camp where he continued to receive awards. He proudly wore a #12 basketball jersey and a #54 in football. He believed in working hard and helping others.

His desire to help grew into a desire to help, protect and serve, as the opportunity to become one of Philly’s finest, became more and more appealing to him.
