William A. Lang

1944- 2005

This quilt square depicts my husband who died suddenly on April 12, 2005. He was very caring, loving and a very intelligent individual.

After we were married in 1987, and we purchased our first home, I told Bill that I wanted color every season. With that statement my husband kept a 700-foot garden full of color for every season with perennials all through the garden. He died in the Spring, but he is with me everyday, he planted over 350 daffodils and 200 tulips so every time one blooms, he is there.

My husband was an avid reader, interested in all subjects and the Civil War. We based our vacation around Tourist Railroading and Visiting Civil War Battlefields. He also set up a train platform in our dormer for year round enjoyment for our nieces and nephews.

And, lastly he was interested in woodworking and going all out. He set up his workshop in our basement and made some beautiful things.

He is in God’s loving arms, but he is in my heart forever.
