Aedan Paul Kelley

This quilt square represents our son, Aedan Paul Kelley. Aedan was sweet, selfless, kind, smart, loving, thoughtful, and mindful of others. He lived each day attempting to ease the struggles of others, e.g. being friend to someone who had none, donating all of his money saved to various charities and being the best oldest sibling to his younger ones. He was an old soul. The pictures depicted on the quilt are those of Aedan, Taegan–  his sister, and Keagan—his brother. To honor Martin Luther King Day, Aedan’s teacher instructed the class write a personal “ I have a dream” essay. The dream essay shown on his quilt is Aedan’s “dream”. It was one of the final writings he had completed prior to his death. The cloth behind the picture is a piece from Aedan’s favorite pair of shorts.
