Some of Angie’s Favorite Things
Angie loved the beach, I came across this little story and it reminded me of Angie, and how like the little boy in the story, she helped someone with her gift.
The Legend of the Starfish – A old man was walking along a beach when he saw a young boy. Along the shore were many starfish that had been washed up by the tide and were sure to die before the tide returned. The boy was walking slowly along the shore and occasionally reached down and tossed the beached starfish back into the ocean.
The old man hoping to teach the young boy a lesson in common sense, walked up to the boy and said, I have been watching what you are doing, son. You have a good heart, and I know you mean well, but do you realize how many beaches there are around here and how many starfish are dying on every beach every day. Surely such an industrious and kind hearted boy such as yourself could find something better to do with your time. Do you really think that what you are doing is going to make a difference?
The boy looked up at the man, and then he looked down at the starfish by his feet. He picked up the starfish, and as he gently tossed it back into the ocean, he said “it makes a difference to that one.”
Just like the little boy made a difference to the starfish, Angie made a difference in someone’s life, but a better example is the difference Jesus makes in our lives. He gave the supreme gift; He gave His all for us. If we all just helped save one, what a world of difference it would make in this world.
Another one of Angie’s favorite things was football, especially the Steelers. Since the early 70’s, she like the steel curtain, Mean Joe Green and Jack Lambert were some of her favorite players.
Sunflowers were her favorite flowers; she always said they smiled at you. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone.
Harley motorcycles were her favorite bikes, and Ford Mustangs.
We are so proud of her, for thinking of others to be helped through her unselfish gift.
May God Bless You.
