David A. Sybert

This quilt square is dedicated to a loving father, son, grandson, brother, and friend.

David was the oldest of 2 children. He was also the father of one son, whom he loved so much.

David was a very laid back guy. He worked, but came home to enjoy what all life had to offer: family, friends, and outdoors specifically. The denim material represents the hard working, laid back guy that David was. It also represents the fact that he basically lived in jeans. Getting him into anything dressier was like pulling teeth!

Besides his family and friends,  David had 2 passions: Pittsburgh Steelers and fishing. During football season he was always making wings and watching the Steelers. And in the spring and summer he was heading out to the pond or creek with his rod and reel. Those 2 passions are also represented on the square.

David was dedicated to his family and friends. He was loyal to a fault and always had our back. We miss David  every day and hope that his special gift of organ donation reminds other to “have each other’s backs” and to become an organ donor.

We love and miss you, David.
