This patch is a pocket from my husband work shirt. Lump was a wonderful husband, father, Pop-pop, and a G-pop. The marks on the picket represent the hard-working dedicated man he was. He was the owner operator of his beloved Lumps deli for 30 years. He could be found behind the counter everyday greeting his customers with a smile and ready for a conversation. Lump left this world suddenly from a massive heart attack, without a chance to say good-bye. His zest for life, love of laughter, and generosity was like no other. Although the void he left us with is a large one, his decision to become an organ donor many years was no surprise. This decision was an easy one for him. He knew whenever his day was on. The page, (his words) he could continue to live on by helping someone in need. I don’t know who you are, but whoever has his eyes and can see because of Lump, will look at the world with the most beautiful insight. Whoever has his skin and tissue from his arms will have the most beautiful arms to wrap around your loves ones. Our hope is that he improved life for individuals, and your life will be filled with all that Lump lived for.
