Floyd Alan Rinehimer, 56, passed away on April 8, 2018 with his devoted wife and kids by his side. Floyd lived his life fearlessly and without regrets. He was a wild child, a free spirit, a jokester, a coach, a loving husband, and most of all the greatest dad of all time. Floyd never sat still for long. Instead, he was always going above and beyond for his family: coaching his children through every sport imaginable, driving hours to visit his daughters, or fixing up his son’s property which he dreamed of turning into a wedding venue / winery.
Floyd always had a vision. He would look at a task and become inspired with fun, creative ideas on how to complete it. He was a handyman and was able to tackle any fixer-upper from a house to an antique care. Floyd loved to stay active by hiking, bike riding, and playing sports with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and raised many animals such as turkeys, raccoons, quail, pheasants, and his little wild kitty. Floyd enjoyed growing vegetable in his garden with his wife and could often be seen driving a tractor around his son’s property.
He loved making jokes and brought laughter and joy to everyone in his life. Floyd was also a die-hard Phillies fan even through the Bowa years. Floyd did everything with his wife and children and took many vacations with them to Disney World and the beach. He dreamed of traveling around the world with his wife after his retirement.
Floyd was self-less to his core. When the time came to consider organ donation, we knew that he would want to give everything he could. Floyd was always our hero. Now he is a hero to so many more.
