Francis Eugene Wallace Jr.

Francis Eugene Wallace, Jr. – Francis Gene Wallace was born in 1955 and died on 28 Oct. 2015. Gene was a giving man all his life. He loved to help his family and friends whenever he could. He loved to use his communication skills to help his community as a ham radio operator. While living in Ohio while he went to college, he helped out in a blizzard to help the local hospital communicate to get doctors and nurses to and from hospital. About to a year before he passed away he had upgraded his license to a General Class license from Technician+, and he was in the process of learning the curriculum for the highest level which is Extra Class.

This square on the quilt is from his Gloucester County NJ Amateur Radio Club jacket and his name and call letters were on the front.

His last selfless act of service to his fellow man was to donate his organs to those who were in need of them. I want this square to commemorate the loving and giving man with big heart that Gene was  and is and always will be remembered for.
