Ira “Dale” Espenshade Jr.

Dale was a happy go lucky guy who loved to have fun. Even though he had a hard life, being a bilateral amputee at the age of 29 and being on dialysis the last 8 years of his life, he made the best of all situations. His “happy place” was the family farm in Tioga County where he would spend 3 weeks during hunting season, hunting, riding 4 wheeler and just enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan {he was a place kicker and running back in high school} but also liked the Phillies and Eagles. He took care of our Mom and loved dogs, especially their dog Lilly. Dale’s choice of décor and jewelry was Native American. He loved rock bands from the 70’s like The Doobie Brothers and enjoyed going to concerts. As you can maybe tell by his picture, he almost always had a busy beard and longer hair. He grew his hair long enough to donate it to Locks of Love. Dale was a very loving and giving person and is greatly missed! With all his medical issues, we are thankful he was able to donate his corneas.
