HIS SMILE SAYS IT ALL!

Leslie (Les) was a mild-mannered, kind-hearted, good-natured person. A friend to all, he saw the good in everyone and everything, and lived by the creed each day of his life. Les, a “home-town” boy, was born and raised in Port Norris, NJ.

Les was a most loving husband to his beautiful wife, Diane. After they met, his face beamed with pride at just the mention of her name. Everyone knew they were meant for each other, holding hands and growing old together. However, that was not meant to be, having celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary when his life ended suddenly. They shared a love that so many dreamed of, but never find in a lifetime. Our family is forever grateful to Diane for his happiness.

A loving son and son-in-law, a devoted brother, a fun-loving grandfather and uncle, a special nephew and cousin, Les cared for his parents and family members when others were not able. He exemplified what it meant to be family. Keeping family traditions was important to Les, especially celebrating family Italian Christmas Eve dinners, cooking Christmas morning breakfast, and gathering for Easter Fritattas. His laughter was infectious when sharing his famous stories at family get-togethers.

Being an outdoorsman was his passion, whether hunting, fishing, harvesting oysters with his father and brothers, or farming his grandparents’ land. From playing Little League to attending Phillies games, baseball was a favorite pastime. His four dogs, Woody, Lance, Buck, and Gidget, were his “ forever” friends.

His photo was taken at East Point Lighthouse, which provides a beacon to both mariners and the marriage of Les and Diane. Like the lighthouse, his legacy provides a beacon of hope for others.

AND HIS SMILE LIVES ON!
