Mark A. Katurakes

November 10, 1963- June 1, 2016

Our Son, Father, Brother, Godfather, Husband, caregiver and friend…

Mark was devoted and loving to us all. He was an amazing person with an unforgettable “big personality.” He always tried to be funny or witty and rarely serious. He could use his charm with anyone he met and they would melt …especially “Mom.” When he laughed it would be loud and hard. You couldn’t help but know he was present in the room. He was gentleman and knew manners mattered. He gave endlessly and selflessly of his time, talents and self.

Kind, compassionate, a “heart of gold” and bigger than life itself were words of comfort shared by those who knew him and loved him too.

Countless acts of kindness and compassion are his legacy.

Mark loved the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed his boat, fishing and crabbing, his dogs and cats, cooking and baking, and “life at the beach.” He cherished his family and friends, but his love and devotion to his son was beyond extraordinary. He provided unlimited support, guidance and unconditional love to a son who was “his life.”

Unseen, unheard, but always near…
