Born August 25th, 1979 embraced in the arms of her mother Nanci. Misty lived a happy and adventurous childhood, did well in school, loved life! Her many close friends and family use words like “free-spirited” “compassionate” and “talented” to describe Misty. She graduated from Penn State University and became an art teacher at Juniata, PA elementary schools. Five grades, five schools, hundreds of children touched by her teaching. Misty married her long time friend Brant in a beautiful winter wedding. Brant and Misty have two lovely little girls Aspen and Sage. Misty felt these were her greatest creations and finest treasures. She taught both to appreciate art and they continue to carry this with them as they grow. Misty passed over into our father’s loving arms in October 2016 after fighting for her life following a car accident. She was such a giving person in her life through love, laughter and a listening ear. And also, now in her passing she was able to give the gift of life to many others. We in the world have been blessed by her presence here. We miss her dearly. We see her in turtles, nature, in her children, art and the mountains. Thank you God for giving her to us for awhile, we have faith in you that we will see Misty again in heaven.
