The quilt is in memory of our son, Mitchell Lawrence Macy. Mitchell was only 21 years old and the youngest in the family.
The quilt patch represents things that remind us of Mitchell. The picture is from the last family wedding that we went to. We used to the tan background behind the picture from a shirt that was his grandfather’s who passed away a few months after Mitchell. The deer stripe represents deer hunting, which was one of his favorite hobbies to do with family. The grey black stripes are colors that he liked.
Mitchell enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and going to car shows with his grandfather whenever possible. Mitchell always dreamed of opening his own auto repair shop and to race cars. Mitchell went to school to be an auto technician, and after he graduated he started working at a job he loved.
Mitchell is survived by his parents, 2 older brothers David (32) and Philip (27), nephew Parker (4) and his nephew Brayden (3 months) who he never got to meet but would have loved. Also, his grandmother, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mitchell was loved by all who knew him.
