We wanted our quilt square to represent the most of Phil’s life. He was an amazing young man who accomplished many things in his short 28 years.
Phil completed K-12 in the Cocalico School District, graduating with perfect attendance for his last three years. He was a member and secretary for both the National Honor Society and FBLA.
He graduated from DeSales University with a double major, Computer Science and Mathematics. While at DeSales, he was on the Welcoming Committee, as well as a Peer Adviser.
Phil began scouting as a Tiger Cub and continued after bridging to Boy Scouts. At 16, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, the Boy Scout National Honor Society, holding the Vigil Honor. He held many positions during his years in scouts, his last being OA Section Chief.
Phil began working at Wild Wings Pizza when he was 13 years old and continued working there during university breaks and summer vacations. After graduating from DeSales, he began working as a computer Sales Engineer.
He continued to give back to his community as a member of the East Cocalico Lion’s Club, as well as Webmaster for his previous Boy Scout troop.
Phil was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church. He loved people and loved life. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for a friend or family member in need. He was surrounded by a wonderful group of friends, most of who were from his high school days. He was loved dearly and is greatly missed!
