Robert T. Kolb

8/8/47 – 5/8/16

Bob is the love of my life. “He will forever be my always.” We met on a church trip to Camelback Mountain in 1962 & never dreamed we would take walk there every morning when we retired… but we did!!!
Bob and I married in 1972 & moved to Stroudsburg in 1975. Bob was a wonderful husband & loving father to Sarah, Matt, and Andy. He was famous for his “Tickle Feather” to help the kids wake up. Feathers make us smile… “When feathers appear, Angels are near!” He was happy to be a “Pappy” and was adored by his grandchildren Luke & Mary!
Bob loved hiking & he became more dedicated to hiking & backpacking after our son Matthew died in 1999! Bob loved taking us on family adventures. Hiking on Isle Royale, the Boundary Water canoe trip, hiking in Grand Tetons and traveling to Hawaii and hiking in Glacier National Park in Montana! His quilt square shows him hiking at Glacier with a part of his favorite shirt!
Bob retired in 2011 & started two activities… every Wednesday, he volunteered for American Cancer Society as a van driver and every Thursday was Breakfast at the Snydersville Diner with church friends.
Bob was an organ donor because Matt was an organ donor. It gives us great joy to know Bob helped others.
Bob loved the Dixie Chick’s song called I HOPE… the words say, “I hope, for more love, more joy and laughter.” When you remember Bob & you make someone laugh and smile… you fill the world with more love, joy and laughter. Bob will like that!
“Those we love don’t go away… they walk beside us every day…”
BOB, WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU EVERY DAY!
