Walter Jonathan Struzek

April 20, 1971 – September 15, 2017

Although Walter was his given name he always went by Jon.  Jon was a wonderful Husband, Father, Brother and son. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family watching his favorite team the Philadelphia Eagles. Always yelling “That’s what I’m talking about” with a Coors Light in hand.

Jon passed away from a cardiac event which in turn led to a brain injury. After discussing it with his family we felt organ and tissue donation was a great option. Jon’s mother in law was a kidney recipient two months prior and we were able to see first-hand how it personally affects people in need of donations and so this choice felt so natural. We as a family felt that this would allow Jon’s life to go on and help someone else in need.

This quilt was designed by Jon’s Children. Blue was his favorite color so put it on a blue background. His daughter Amber drew his angel wings because he will always be watching over his family. The colors are of his hydroplane race boat. There is a dog drawn by his daughter Tia of his dog Flaps and a car drawn by his son Colin which he enjoyed doing with his father. Anyone who knew Jon knew of his nickname Struz and 33 was his boat number.

There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t miss or think of Jon. He will be loved and missed always.
