SALT LAKE CITY (KYW Newsradio) — Team Philly raked in more than two dozen medals in swimming at the 2018 Transplant Games.

But for one group of spectators, just getting to Salt Lake City was half the fun.

Back in 2006, Andrea Henninger didn’t make it to the Transplant Games to see her mother Suzanne Ahmie swim with Team Philly.

“I was getting married, like, the following week,” she recalled.

But after that, she made a pledge to herself: “Never miss a time that she swam. She didn’t swim a couple years so I didn’t go to those games, but any game that she’s swam since 2006 when I missed it, I’ve been here.”
